Art discipline: 
Russell is a contemporary artist who works in the fields of needlework, sculpture, drawing, and installation and whose works explore intertwining connections between geography, biology, geology and mythology.

Born on the Romney Marsh, on Englands South-East Coastline, Russell trained at Londons Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance, completing their Batchelor of Arts Programme in Dance Theatre in 2005. Since then Russell predominantly worked as a commercial prop and costume maker, producing work for music videos for artists like Rufus Wainwright and Ladyhawke. Magazine editorial for publications such as Dansk, Numero Homme, Vogue Japan, Vogue Italia, iD and Dazed and Confused.
In 2015 Russell moved to Berlin to work for artists AA Bronson and Mark Krayenhoff van de Leur specialising in textiles and needlework.
