Lena Skrabs graduated with a MFA in "Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" from Bauhaus-University Weimar, spending one year at Tokyo University of the Arts in the Intermedia Arts department. She holds a BFA in Art-Education-Therapy from Alanus University of Arts and Social Science. She is also part of the collective g.a.d.o (great artists doing ok) based in Berlin and elsewhere.

She has performed and shown work in various international exhibitions and festivals amongst others at Schiller Museum Weimar (2019), CTM Vorspiel (2019), 8x8 Gallery, Toride/Japan (2017), Kunsthaus Dresden (2016), Mercator Foundation (2016), KW Institute for Contemporary Art (2015), Trondheim Electronic Arts Centre (2015) and the 12th Havana Biennial (2015).
Awards / Prizes :
Lena Skrabs is participant of Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprogramm 2019. She received the PROMOS scholarship of Bauhaus-University Weimar in 2017, the JASSO scholarship from the government of Japan in 2016 and Kunstpreis Bad Honnef in 2015.
