Diethild Meier is a dance artist, choreographer, film maker and photographer based in Berlin. She Sie studied photography at Fachhochschule Dortmund after which she worked as a photographer, director for documentaries, script writer and cutter in Barcelona for several years. 2011- 2015 she studied dance and choreography at HZT (Hochschulübergreifenden Zentrum Tanz) Berlin and since performs and collaborates in various dance and performance projects in Berlin, Dresden, Braunschweig und Lissabon.
Important projects / Exhibitions:
Since 2015 Diethild Meier works as a dancer and creative interpreter with Lina Gómez (Träumerei des Verschwindens, 2015, STAUB, 2016, Chao Vazado, 2017 und A PASSO DI MULO, 2018) and performed with Isabelle Schad, Anna Aristarkhova, Zufit Simon and Anna Till. She developed her own choreographic work and artistic research in collaboration with Julek Kreutzer (Who’s That Girl, 2013, Nobody’s Dance, 2014) and Jasminka Stenz (Schrittstück#1, 2014, THE YELLOW SPACE, 2017). Since 2017 she collaborates with Ana Trincao for their project Unbearable Eloquence (Theatro Rua das Gaivotas, Lissabon 2017, SodaWorks! -Festival at Uferstudios Berlin 2017, FIDCU Festival Montevideo/ Uruguay 2018). Her current project OPEN END is realised with support from Berliner Senat (Einstiegsförderung 2018), Tanzfabrik Berlin, Kulturhaus Stenkrossen/Sweden) and Inter Arts Center Lund/Sweden).
