Werdegang / Ausbildung: 
Lars Rudolph was the second son of a Captain in the marines. He has two other brothers. In his youth he lived in the harbour cities of West Germany such as Cuxhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Kappeln and Kiel. After school he studied music as a trumpet player (mainly Jazz) and moved to New York in the late 80s to play with musicians around the circle of John Zorn.
Wichtige Projekte / Ausstellungen: 
In 1994 he was asked by Christoph Schlingensief to join a theatre group at the Volksbühne Berlin and this is how he became interested in acting. His career was fast and he won numerous film awards for his first films with Bela Tarr, Tom Tykwer and Oskar Röhler. (see below ) Today he lives in Berlin and is the father of three daughters. He used to be in Bands like Kixx, Ich schwitze nie, Stan Red Fox, Mariahilff. Beside shooting films he is constantly also on stage with directors like Frank Castorf and Christoph Marthaler, Dieter Wedel.
