Francis Heery (1980)
Francis Heery is a composer, sound artist and researcher from Ireland. He holds a Ph.D in Composition (University College Cork) and an M.Phil. in Music and Media Technologies (Trinity College Dublin). He writes for both electronic and instrumental media. His compositions and/or papers have featured at conferences and festivals such as June In Buffalo (U.S), the International Symposium on Music/Sonic Art (Germany), the International Music Theory Conference (Lithuania), the Leeds International Festival for Innovations in Music Production and Composition (U.K), ICMC 2012 (Slovenia) as well as at Naturkundemusem Berlin.

Wichtige Projekte / Ausstellungen: 
His instrumental works have been performed by international players such as the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Carin Levine, the JACK Quartet, Pascal Gallois, the Talujon Percussion Ensemble, Kate Ellis, the Quiet Music
Ensemble and the Crash Ensemble. He has studied composition with John Godfrey, Jesse Ronneau and Donnacha Dennehy and attended master classes with Brian Ferneyhough, and Steven Takasugi.
His work has been funded by Galway County and City Councils and the Arts Council of Ireland and his music has been released on Lamour Records and farpoint recordings.
